Biography

Adrián Rescalvo García was born in Xirivella (Valencia, Spain) in 2000. At the age of nine he began the study of the contrabass at the Conservatorio Profesional de Torrent with Manuel Pons, which he finished in 2019. He completed his bachelor studies at the Basque College of Music (MUSIKENE) under the professors Emmanuel de Maistre und Julio Pastor in 2023.

Adrián Rescalvo García has collected orchestral experience in prominent Spanish orchestras such as the orchestra of the opera Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, the orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceuin Barcelona and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León.

In addition, he has completed master classes with such prominent contrabass players as Gunars Upatnieks, Wies de Boevé, Rick Stotijn, Luis Cabrera, Rodrigo Moro, Edicson Ruiz, and Olivier Thiery. He has also performed in various youth orchestras such as the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, European Union Youth Orchestra, and the National Youth Orchestra of Spain.
